👀 CBA's “new style” of officiating

EASL Takeaway: On October 10, the 2022-23 China Basketball Association (CBA) season officially tipped off pre-season games in the bubble. After what seemed like a short break, teams are back at it again; defending champion Liaoning Flying Leopards picked up right where they left off.

🙌 B3 club achieved new record for attendance 

EASL Takeaway: Over the weekend, the Tokyo United Basketball Club of B3 played a game at its home Ariake Arena. This venue was the main venue for wheelchair basketball at last year's Tokyo Paralympics, and 9,295 people attended the Sunday game.

💯 SK Telecom is the title sponsor for new season

EASL Takeaway:  ​KBL held a title sponsor signing ceremony at Hotel Ribera in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and announced the official name of the new professional basketball season as "2022-2023 SKT A.(A-Dot) Professional Basketball."

🛩️ ROS Coach Chris Gavina moves to Chinese Taipei

EASL Takeaway: Chris Gavina, who served with the Rain or Shine Elastopainters for the past four years, has bid the franchise goodbye as he embarks on a new journey as the new head coach of the Taichung Suns of Chinese Taipei’s T1 League.

🏀 2022-23 Pre-Season games tipped off

EASL Takeaway: The 2022-23 Pre-Season games of the P. LEAGUE+ has officially tipped off on October 8. All six teams will see actions throughout the weekend with a total of six games, taking place in Kaohsiung City, home of the Kaohsiung Steelers.
