Where: Fengshan Stadium, Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City
When: Wednesday, October 21, 2026, 7:10 P.M. HKT
Group: Group A

THE RUNDOWN

EASL action is sure to heat up this Wednesday, October 21, as the curtain will be raised on two teams set to make their debut in the league. The TSG GhostHawks and Goyang Sono Skygunners collide in Kaohsiung City at the Fengshan Stadium.

Though the two teams are newcomers to the EASL, they share the same hunger to perform beyond their home leagues. For the GhostHawks, they are eager to build their identity in the region, and to be known amongst the most feared squads coming out of Chinese Taipei, similar to their fellow P.LEAGUE+ teams.

The Skygunners, on the other hand, have made a lot of noise already in the KBL, but are hungry for more. With their Finals rival Busan KCC Egis also in the EASL mix, claiming a championship in this league would go a long way towards easing the sting of their loss to the eventual champions.‍

‍

TSG GHOSTHAWKS‍

The GhostHawks are one of the youngest teams in the EASL, but they’ve already shown that they can compete with the best of them. Joining the P.LEAGUE+ in 2024, they have already qualified for the P.LEAGUE+ Playoffs this season, a testament to their desire to grow and get better.

Leading the way for TSG will be guard Ku Mao Wei-Chia, who has established himself as one of the best guards in the local league. With averages of 13 points and 6 assists per contest, he was the a member of the P.LEAGUE+ First-Team, and Most Improved Player.

The GhostHawks will also be adding a new player in Oscar Kao, who is no stranger to action in the region. The former NCAA D1 player from Southeast Missouri State previously played for the Hsinchu Toplus Lioneers, where he was named P.LEAGUE+ Rookie of the Year for the 2020-21 season. Now he takes his talents to the GhostHawks, and will look to push his new squad over the top.

Another key player for the GhostHawks would be import  De’Mon Brooks, who averaged 20.1 points per game and 9.6 rebounds for the team in the P.LEAGUE+. The 2.01m forward who spent time in the NBA summer league with the Charlotte Hornets will look to lockdown the paint for the GhostHawks and provide scoring across the floor. ‍

‍

GOYANG SONO SKYGUNNERS‍

The Skygunners might be new to the EASL, but in terms of their shared history and basketball experience, they have a leg up on their competition.

After all, many witnessed the Skygunners defy expectations and make it to the KBL Finals for the first time in franchise history. It was a run of miracle proportions, particularly as they stumbled out of the gate to start the season before eventually peaking at the right time in the Playoffs. With momentum on their side, they now look towards the region to try and gain even more success.

Look for the team’s superstar Lee Jung-Hyun to lead the way. The KBL Domestic player MVP awardee is an electric scorer and playmaker, responsible for 18 points and 5 assists per contest.

There should also be a lot of interest for Philippine import, Kevin Quiambao, who is also set to debut in the EASL with the Skygunners. The KBL Rookie of the Year has expressed his excitement to compete in the EASL, and should be a crowd favorite wherever he goes.‍

‍

SPOTLIGHT STORYLINE

Showdown of Asian Royalty In The Backcourt‍

Everyone knows that Lee Jung-Hyun is a stud in the backcourt- his hardware can do the talking for him. But how will he fare against one of the Chinese-Taipei’s finest in Ku Mao Wei-Chia?\

Indeed, this is what the EASL is all about- turning erstwhile fantasy matchups into a reality. The GhostHawks have been clear that their sights are set on growing and improving against the best competition in the region, and the Skygunners will definitely provide that type of challenge.

Whichever team’s star guard can make their imprint on the game will go a long way towards helping earn that decisive win.
