00 读取分钟数

Goyang Sono Skygunners rallied on the road in a thrilling win against TSG GhostHawks
What Happened:
The Goyang Sono Skygunners showcased their championship mettle behind a monster performance from import Johnny O’Bryant, as they rallied to win against the TSG GhostHawks, 99-94, on the road at the Fengshan Stadium in Kaohsiung City.
Trailing by 11 points at the end of the third period, The GhostHawks were looking to cruise to their first victory of the season. They played unselfish basketball with 20 assists already with still a quarter to go.
But the Skygunners were not done fighting. Down by 14 with still six minutes remaining, O’Bryant went on the rampage, as he willed his team back in the game. Behind O’ Bryant and Asian Import Kevin Quiambao’s clutch baskets, the Skygunners rallied to take a 91-90 lead behind a booming triple from O’Bryant. However a split from De’Mon Brooks helped the GhostHawks force overtime, tied at 91-all
Ufortunately for the home team, the Skygunners would complete the comeback in overtime, as timely freethrows from Jeong Hee-Jae and Lee Jung-Hyun and a dagger triple from O’Bryant were the final nails in the coffin.
O’Bryant was assisted ably by the double double of David Scott James, as he tallied 22 points and 15 rebounds. Lee Jung-Hyun also contributed with 15 points and 9 assists.
For the GhostHawks, Ondrej Balvin feasted with 24 points. 9 rebounds and 5 assists, while Kao Kuo-Hao had 16 points and 4 assists in the losing effort.

What It Means:
Consider this- before overtime, the biggest lead of TSG was 20 points.
The Skygunners, on the other hand, only enjoyed a 2 point lead during the first period. That’s the mountain that they had to climb to win on the road, and what they were able to achieve was a remarkable feat. Once they found their rhythm and adjusted to the significant size advantage of the GhostHawks, it was a flurry that TSG unfortunately could not prevent.
Player of the Game:
Johnny O’Bryant was outstanding, as he finished with 42 points, only 2 points short of the season record. He was sizzling from beyond the arc, as he made 6 triples on 46.1%.
Super Statistic: 18
With each made basket, O’Bryant creeped closer and closer to rewriting the EASL history books. In the end, his 18 field goals made did exactly that, as he set a new league record for most made buckets in an EASL debut, a testament to the kind of night he was having.
Next Up:
The GhostHawks will have time to lick their wounds, as they remain at home to host Alvark Tokyo on November 4 at the Fengshan Stadium. Alvark has already tasted victory at the hands of the South Gobi Broncos- will TSG be next?
Goyang Sono on the other hand will be set to host their first game of the EASL season, as they welcome the South Gobi Broncos on November 18. With the incredible win of the Skygunners catching everyone’s attention, can the Broncos give them a rude awakening?
