EASL Finals to Crown Asia’s Champion in Macau SAR

EASL’s 2025–26 postseason will debut as the EASL Finals, bringing a six-team title race to Macau SAR from March 18 to 22.

East Asia Super League has officially introduced the EASL Finals, its newly branded postseason championship event, set to take place in Macau SAR from March 18th to 22nd. Emerging from a 12-team regular season, six of Asia’s top clubs will qualify for the EASL Finals, where the league will crown the champion of Asian basketball following EASL’s largest and most successful season to date.

“The renaming of the EASL Finals for this 2025-26 season, represents a milestone for our league and reflects how far EASL has grown in a short period of time,” said EASL CEO Henry Kerins. “With a larger season, a deeper field, and a championship stage in Macau, this postseason will be the biggest expression of what EASL is becoming. We are excited to bring our most ambitious Finals yet to life and deliver a championship experience that matches the scale of our league.”

The 2025–26 campaign marked a new benchmark for the league, expanding to 12 teams and 42 total games played across the region since October. With that growth comes increased stakes, as the EASL Finals will see USD 1.5 million awarded to the champions, USD 750,000 to the runners-up, and USD 350,000 to the third-place finisher, representing the most significant prize pool in league history.

Now in its third season, the EASL Finals also introduces the league’s first expanded postseason format. The inaugural 2023–24 and 2024–25 postseasons were contested under the EASL Final Four banner. This season, the top two teams from each of Groups’ A, B, and C advance to a three-stage championship pathway consisting of the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Championship round.

Game days for the EASL Finals are scheduled for March 18, March 20, and March 22. The 18th will feature two Quarterfinal matchups, with the venue to be announced soon. The Finals then moves to Studio City Macau for the Semifinals on March 20, before concluding on March 22 with both the EASL Championship and the Third-Place Game.

In addition, EASL will host the second annual “The Asia Basketball Summit” at Studio City on March 21, bringing together leading voices from across the region for high-level discussion on shaping the future of Asian basketball. More details on this to come.

EASL’s regular season will conclude with a triple-header on February 11, officially setting the EASL Finals bracket. Tickets for the EASL Finals will go on sale on February 21, with further details on ticketing to be announced at a later date. The venue for games on March 18 will be announced at a later date.

In its largest season yet, EASL now turns its attention to an expanded postseason stage where Asia’s best will battle for one title, one trophy, and one champion.

See you in Macau.
