【體路專訊】全新主客場制的東亞超級聯賽（EASL）首賽季分組儀式昨日（28日）下午在馬尼拉舉行，其中大中華區代表灣區翼龍將與日本B.LEAGUE冠軍宇都宮皇者、韓國KBL冠軍首爾SK騎士，以及菲律賓PBA聯賽待定亞軍球隊在10月起出戰小組賽，爭奪以小組前2晉身4強。

首季EASL一共有8支球隊角逐冠軍，將在今年10月分為2組以雙循環、主客場賽制交手，每組前2名的隊伍將晉級明年3月展開的4強賽，爭取最後的總決賽入場券，以及高達100萬美元的冠軍獎金。大中華區代表灣區翼龍與日本B.LEAGUE冠軍宇都宮皇者、韓國KBL冠軍首爾SK騎士，以及等待菲律賓PBA聯賽結束後才揭盅的亞軍隊伍分在B組。至於另一大中華區代表、中華台北P.LEAGUE+冠軍富邦勇士則與日本B.LEAGUE亞軍琉球黃金國王、韓國KBL亞軍安養KGC以及菲律賓PBA冠軍隊同屬A組。

由港隊中鋒惠龍兒及中國國家隊成員劉傳興等人組成的灣區翼龍，由於疫情防控政策需要，因此在首賽季主場將臨時遷至馬尼拉，並以特邀球隊的身份參加菲律賓PBA聯賽委員盃，同時代表大中華區參加東亞超級聯賽。至於球隊總經理為前CBA總經理劉全勝，球隊亦邀請到帶領澳洲男籃首奪奧運銅牌的拜恩戈爾（Brian Goorjian）出任主教練。拜恩戈爾表示：「作為灣區翼龍主教練，我們懷著激動的心情代表大中華區參加東亞超級聯賽和菲律賓PBA聯賽，非常期待與PBA以及東亞地區的優秀球隊同場競技。我們已經準備好迎接挑戰。」
