【體路專訊】灣區翼龍及菲律賓籃球聯賽（PBA）共同宣布，由於該隊主場城市香港因新冠肺炎疫情實施入境管制，將其參加東亞超級聯賽主客場比賽的主場臨時設在菲律賓首都馬尼拉，並會作為特邀球隊參加下一屆PBA總督盃。

前身為灣區晉裕鳳凰的灣區翼龍，在國際籃球聯合會（FIBA）支持下成立，將代表大中華區參加東亞超級聯賽的競爭。該隊將匯聚來自中國內地、香港、澳門以及中華台北的頂級自由球員，並將引進2名外援以及1名亞洲外援，成為大中華區最富有競爭力的球隊之一。

灣區翼龍的首任主教練即將公佈，該全球知名教練具有世界頂級聯賽數十年執教及奪冠的經驗。總經理則由管理過中國男子籃球職業聯賽（CBA）總決賽球隊的劉全勝擔任。灣區翼龍將下榻在馬尼拉大都會配備最高尚的酒店之一。比賽舉辦地則是能容納數千名球迷的阿拉內塔體育館（Smart Araneta Coliseum）或亞洲購物中心體育館（SM Mall of Asia Arena）。

下一屆PBA總督盃暫定於今年稍後時間開賽。東超的首個主客場泛區域賽季將於2022年10月啟動，共有8支球隊參賽。日本B聯賽、韓國KBL聯賽和菲律賓PBA聯賽的上季冠亞軍將直接獲得參加東超比賽的資格，灣區翼龍以來自中華台北P. LEAGUE+的冠軍球隊，將代表大中華區出戰。
